Akosoto is your child’s friend who compiles nursery rhymes, songs, riddles, games, do it yourself toys… in Malayalam language.

The name

നേപാളില്‍ വെച്ച് അശോകേട്ടന്‍ റിമ്പോച്ചേയെ ‘ഉണ്ണിക്കുട്ടനെന്നും’ ഉണ്ണിക്കുട്ടന്‍ അശോകേട്ടനെ ‘അകൊസോട്ടോ’ എന്നും വിളിച്ചു.

The name ‘Akosoto’ is a tribute to the 1992 Malayalam Film ‘Yodha’ directed by Sangeeth Sivan. The music is by A R Rahman, then an unknown newcomer.

The Idea

Watching your little one playing with her favorite doll, you start singing your favourite childhood song to your child…

You can’t remember the rest of it although it is there at the tip of your tongue. Quite a common parenting trait, huh?

The idea of the site ‘Akosoto’ dawned on us when we were scratching our heads in a similar situation. We thought: There could be a lot of parents out there who would want their kids to sing the songs they sang in their childhood, play the games they played, memorize the riddles they did.

This site – akosoto.com – is an attempt from the team antzFx to archive the little bits of childhood you enjoyed, for the new generations.
